We just got home from China. I want to say thank you for
all your help with the arrangements in Yunnan. The trip was
wonderful.
When we realized that we were not going to be able to visit
Tibet as planned, we were disappointed, but Yunnan proved to
be a wonderful substitute. We enjoyed the area, the people,
the food and had a great time exploring this region. The arrangements
went just as planned and we especially enjoyed meeting you.
Thank you again for the fabulous dinner.
Lijian was our favorite destination. We did have a few more days
there and that was perfect. Our guide there, Elena, was THE BEST.
She was our favorite guide of all. She had such a nice, caring way
about her, was very knowledgeable, and seemed to know exactly what
we liked. She went out of her way to make sure that we had everything
we needed and that we were well cared for. I highly recommend her and
want you to know that she went out of her way to make our trip memorable.
While the other guides were perfectly fine, Elena stood out as wonderful.
Thanks to her, we have a better idea about the Naxi culture and people.
We were very pleased with our driver too. Although he could not speak
English and we could not speak Chinese, it worked very well. He was
always there, always courteous, always helpful and we felt secure in
his driving ability.
All in all, we have great memories of China, and thanks to you, especially
of Yunnan province. Thank you again for all your assistance.
We will be in touch, because we still hope to visit Tibet someday. We will
certainly look to you for the arrangements!
